The Easyboot Glove 50 has been tested and used successfully for over a year now. It’s been worn by several horses while they have won endurance events, and it’s seen some hard miles in the Rocky Mountains above Durango, Colorado. We have made some revisions and modifications based on customer testing. We have sent out a small batch of these new and improved boots to a few EasyCare dealers before we start mass production.

An example of a well-fitted shell.

To use the Easyboot Glove 50 successfully, you must find the correct shell fit and heel height for your horse. Please take the time to order a Fit Kit from EasyCare directly or from an EasyCare Dealer before ordering this boot. When selecting the correct shell size for your horse, you should look for a snug fit. The “V” at the front should open and you should not be able to twist the shell with your hands.  You should be able to walk and trot a horse at the shells will stay in place.

Ideal “V” spread.

Take a look at this short video showing what to look for in a well-fitting shell:

The heel height of your horse is also an important requirement for Easyboot Glove 50 success. Horses with high heels are not the right candidates for the Easyboot Glove 50.

The internal height of the back rim of the Fit Kit shell is 25mm. To ensure a good fit, your horse’s heel height should not be more than 10mm above the back rim of the Fit Kit shell.  And you don’t want the heel height to be less than 5mm below the back rim of the shell.

The green line in this photo shows shell height. The red lines above and below show the maximum and minimum heel heights that will fit successfully in this boot.

The first run of Easyboot Glove 50 inventory has two heel heights. Get the taller heel height if your horse’s hairline is above the rim of the shell. Get the lower heel height if your horse’s heel height is below the rim.

We are currently testing to see if the final version will only come with one heel height.

The Easyboot Glove 50 works well with heel heights in a certain range. High or low heels don’t work in the Glove 50 or could cause rubbing.
