There are times when events just seem to come together perfectly: all the elements are in harmony. The Mt. Carmel XP 5-Day ride last weekend was one of them, and EasyCare was there in full force.

1. Good Ride Management
If you’ve never been to an XP ride, you have not yet lived. Dave and Annie Nicholson and Dr. Kristen always sew together challenging trail with scenic views, varied footing and a good rhythm. They have a team of volunteers who make things run smoothly.

2. Good People

XP rides attract a certain type of rider who is up for a challenge. No matter who you meet on the trail, they are savoring every step. It makes for a great vibe.

3. A Good Horse
These are the events where a good endurance horse can really shine. There is plenty of room for fast and slow riders alike.

4. Good Feet
Success starts from the ground up: a conscientious trimming protocol and hoof protection to suit the terrain will increase your chances of more miles on the trail. Easyboots were on the winning horses, the best condition horses and on the tail end horses.

5. Good Food
Don’t forget to eat: Annie is famous for her egg salad sandwiches at the lunch stop. And if you’re looking for a good tri-tip steak at the end of your day, the Thunderbird restaurant is less than a mile from camp.

A heartfelt thanks to Dave and Annie for making the XP rides possible.

I am responsible for the marketing and branding of the EasyCare product line. I believe there is a great deal to be gained from the strategy of using booted protection for horses, no matter what the job you have for your horse.
