We know your time is valuable, and we strive to find ways to simplify the application process. With the new EasyShoe Insta-Set, Super Glue will set in just 6-8 seconds! With a shorter setting time, you can spend less time gluing and more time doing what you love – whether that’s riding, spending time with your horse, or moving on to the next set of hooves for the day.

EasyShoe Insta-Set is a catalyst which acts as an accelerator that allows Super Glue to quickly cure in thick layers by enhancing the alkaline conditions during polymerization. Simply apply Insta-Set to one surface and Super Glue to the opposite surface. When brought together, they will bond instantly.

Insta-Set is formulated with a strawberry scent and activates super glue in 6 to 8 seconds without any degrading of the glue’s strength, which can occur with many other accelerators.

Here are a few tips to help you get started:

1. There are a couple of ways you can apply Insta-Set Spray. We find the best protocol is to prep the hoof first (trim, clean, rough, dry). Then add Super Glue to the tabs on the EasyShoe, spray Insta-Set on the hoof, and then press tabs to hoof wall.  Make sure shoe is aligned properly because it will set very quickly.

2. Even though the setting time is reduced, we still recommend applying plastic wrap to the hoof after the EasyShoe is applied. The plastic wrap will hold the shoes in place and allows the Super Glue to bond well.

3. If possible, keep the horse in for an hour after application. After that, you are ready to turnout or ride!
