Q: How much does the Cloud weigh?
A: The Cloud is very lightweight. The size 2 boot with the EVA pad only weighs 1.2 lbs.
Q: Can I turn my horse out in the Cloud?
A: The Cloud is suitable for small turnout. We recommend no larger than an acre.
Q: Can I ride in the Cloud?
A: No, the Cloud should not be used for riding or exercise. Looking for a riding boot? We have several options.
Q: Are the boots left and right specific?
A: No. Each boot is sold individually and can go on either hoof.
Q: How long can the Easyboot Cloud stay on?
A: You can leave the Cloud boots on for up to 24 hours at a time. We recommend that after that time period you remove the boot to check for debris and let the hoof air out, you can then put the boots back on.
Q: What accessories can I use with the Cloud?
A: The Cloud comes with its own unique EVA Comfort Pad that is sized to the boot. The EVA Comfort Pad has a 2 degree wedge that conforms to the hoof and provides additional comfort and support to the sole. You can also purchase replacement EVA Comfort Pads.
The Cloud is also compatible with the EasyCare Therapy Click System. The Therapy Click System is a therapeutic aid and a starting point to change breakover and heel elevation. Both the 5-degree and 10-degree bases have been designed with extra depth to give professionals the ability to customize for each unique case.
You can also use EasyCare Quick Studs with the Cloud if you plan to use it in icy conditions.
Q: Can I soak my horse’s hooves in the Cloud?
A: No, the Cloud is not designed to be used as a soaking boot. Please utilize the Easyboot Remedy for a waterproof soaking option.
Q: Can I wash my Clouds?
A: Yes, you can clean your Cloud boot with a mild soap and water. Please allow them to dry completely before putting them back on your horse. The hook and loop straps can be cleaned with a wire brush. We recommend keeping the hook and loop material as clean as possible to ensure the fastening system works properly.
