Valley Vet Supply, one of EasyCare’s partners, was founded in 1985 by two veterinarians hoping to provide customers with the very best animal health solutions in a time when procuring medications for animals was a cumbersome task. Family and neighbors were struggling with giving their animals the medications and care they needed the most. So, with no better time than the present, Drs. Arnold Nagely and Ray Shultz founded Valley Vet Supply so they could make ordering these medications a breeze and offer a fair price point for their customers. Both Nagely and Shultz are highly decorated and respected in the field of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Nagely graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, he enlisted as an officer in the United States Air Force and became the veterinarian at Suffolk County Air Force Base in Westhampton Beach, New York, where he cared for military family pets and service dogs. After the Air Force, Nagely and his family moved to Marysville, Kansas, where he helped open the Valley Vet Clinic. Nagely was soon to be joined in practice by his current partner (and co-founder of Valley Vet Supply), Dr. Ray Shultz. In 2018, the community of Marysville, Kansas, presented Dr. Nagely with the Business Person of the Year award.
Dr. Shultz graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and soon thereafter, his veterinary profession took him to Marysville, Kansas, where he joined his current partner (and co-founder of Valley Vet Supply), Dr. Nagely. Always on the go, Dr. Shultz enjoys historic restoration and construction projects. Recently, his preservation efforts breathed life back into the historic Isis movie theater, built in 1912, as well as an 1884 vintage, one-room, stone schoolhouse located in northern Riley County.
