Greetings! I am excited to introduce myself as the newest member of the EasyCare Customer Service Team. I was raised in beautiful Gunnison, Colorado and have always had the horse bug. I was fortunate enough to grow up showing horses, was also very active in 4H and junior rodeo. I received an Equine Management degree from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling Colorado then promptly after graduation I moved to Oklahoma to immerse myself in everything equine related. I had the opportunity to live and work for a family that had raised and trained cowhorses. This in turn made me a better horse woman and gave me immense respect for the abilities these great animals have, both mentally and physically.

I also spent a significant amount of time working for an Equine Hospital and Reproduction Facility. This gave me insight into the mechanics of how our furry four-legged friends work. I have spent countless hours in equine surgery, many of them being two o’clock in the morning colic surgeries but also many lower limb surgeries; arthroscopy to remove bone chips or OCD lesions, bone plating to heal a fractures or to fuse joints, desmotomy to attempt to correct a clubbed foot, repairing angular limb deformities in foals. Although those are not the only surgeries I was lucky enough to assist in, I believe experiencing theses surgeries will help me to be an asset to the EasyCare team. Along with surgery we would also visited many farms, working on all breeds, disciplines, shapes and sizes. I was able to experience equine injuries throughout the healing process and although the preliminary injury may have had nothing to do with the hoof it was always a concern. Whether the horse is used for performance, pleasure or breeding, athlete or not, horses must have hooves and being pain free is ideal. With the products EasyCare provides and the experiences I have had I hope to be able to answer and any question you may have to keeping your equine partner comfortably on the road for as long as possible.

After my stay in Oklahoma I returned to Colorado to be closer to my family and also pursue a degree in Mass Communications which I received from CSU-Pueblo in December. I own two horses, one which I compete on in Barrel Racing. I also enjoy riding young horses and am always up for an adventure on horseback. When I am not on horseback, I take full advantage of the outdoors on foot. I enjoy skiing, hiking, biking and running. I am located at our Durango offices and am enjoying all this beautiful place has to offer on foot and hoof. I am enthusiastic for my future with EasyCare and will be looking forward to the hearing from you and helping with any questions you may have.
