“Dr. Warren Beard, a board certified equine surgeon at Kansas State University, spoke to a group of third-year veterinary students about techniques and complications of equine hoof and limb casts. This talk provided a solid foundation for students to develop the hands-on skills for cast application in further education and improved their confidence in the ability to manage patients in casts.
