Many parts of the world are seeing lots of snow. Snow and ice create slick conditions for our equine partners, but luckily, we have many options to tackle this!

“Today we did just short of 5 miles in just over an hour, with an almost 1000ft elevation change inside the ride at Mueller State Park in Divide, CO (9,600ft elevation). The temperature was 42 degrees with a real feel of 36 degrees. The snow was shin deep or deeper in the open areas, while the more shallow regions had a layer of ice gently covered by a dusting of snow. Aries really had to work for every step today, no matter the gait we were at.
We really got to try out the Versa Grip Glue in snowy, icy terrain, and they get a flying pass. Aries never once lost his step, never formed any snowballs, ejected any wet snow with each stride, and was able to cover ground no matter the grade or covering with grace.”
