One hundred miles. Rugged terrain. And one of the toughest tests of horse and rider in the world. Tevis is called “The Ultimate Horsemanship Challenge” for good reason.
Finishing the Tevis Cup is an accomplishment in itself, and finishing in the top 10 is extraordinary.
EasyCare Hoof Care Practitioner John Perry of JP Natural Hoof Care and his mare A Real Diva (Diva) did exactly that this year, completing the 100-mile endurance ride with another top-ten finish in a customized EasyShoe setup.
John started with the EasyShoe Versa Grip Light, shaped them to fit Diva’s hoof shape, then heat welded EasyShoe Stealth Tabs onto them. He then applied them with Super Glue.
Here’s what John had to say after the ride:
“I had another top ten finish on my mare Diva this year. Just like last year, I went with EasyShoe Versa Grip Lights and heat welded Stealth Tabs onto them, applied them with Super Glue, and once again was not disappointed. I can’t say enough about the shoes, they give traction, protection and reduce concussion – everything you want for traveling over this tough 100 mile course.”
A Proven Combination at Tevis
At the 2025 Tevis Cup, John used the same combination of EasyShoe Versa Grip Lights, heat-welded Stealth Tabs, and Super Glue, and Diva went on to win the prestigious Haggin Cup, awarded to the horse judged to be in the best condition among the top finishers.

Now, one year later, John and Diva have put that same EasyShoe setup to the test over another 100 miles and earned another top-ten Tevis finish.
