Cheap Horse Boots

This is one event not to miss. And we’re giving away two complimentary entries. You may remember the story from last year’s event.

Get your calendar out and mark off Saturday and Sunday July 16 & 17, 2011. You’re going to the Lake Sonoma area for the equestrian and gastronimical two-day ride of the year: the Cooley Ranch Rides. There are 25-mile and 50-mile AERC sanctioned distances, so pick what’s right for you and your horse.

The historic Cooley Ranch is a beautiful private 20,000 acre ranch in the foothills west of Lake Sonoma, CA. On Friday night, the ride meeting is really just a good excuse to taste wine from the region (hosted by Foppiano Vinyards) and enjoy an Iron Chef competition. Bring your favorite casserole for the Casserole Contest. The Cooley Ranch Chef du jour will be identified by a panel of fine judges and will receive an unforgettable award.

DL Catering

Dinner is included with the ride entry for both ride days. Saturday’s dinner will be accompanied by a wine tasting (this is wine country, after all). Gerard’s Paella is returning for a paella feast on Saturday night. On Sunday, DL Catering of Healdsburg preparing an unforgettable al fresco meal for Sunday.

Healthy as a Horse and Hought Tack will be vendors at the event, and EasyCare, Reactor Panel, Linney Kenny Leather, Hought Tack and others have donated some fantastic awards. Lunch is provided for riders on both days. Of course, the ride is also known for stunning trails, abundant water and dreamy views.

This is a frills ride, and great training for Tevis. And if you don’t win a free entry, discounts are offered to juniors, their sponsors and ride managers.

I am responsible for the marketing and branding of the EasyCare product line. I believe there is a great deal to be gained from the strategy of using booted protection for horses, no matter what the job you have for your equine partner.
