I have had my barrel futurity mare in EasyShoe Versa Grip Glue since she was a 3yr old, and she works amazing in them!
We originally decided to go with the Versa Grip Glue because she plays hard and was always twisting or pulling nail-on shoes, no matter what we tried. This mare’s conformation causes her to land laterally harder on both front feet, and traditional nail-on shoes did not give us enough material to modify in order to soften her landing. The Versa Grip Glue was the answer!
Not only can she play to her heart’s content and not lose a shoe, but we can easily adjust breakover to help soften her landing and keep her performing at her best.
We live in the Minnesota tundra, and due to her thin soles, we are unable to pull shoes and go barefoot in the winter. With traditional shoes, traction in the snow and ice is a huge concern and a constant worry, especially if you have a horse that doesn’t possess a lot of self preservation skills. Enter the Versa Grip Glue! She wears fronts and hinds in winter with Quick Studs for traction, and slipping on the snow and ice is a thing of the past. There isn’t a better option for winter shoes!
