Recently I took my future son-in-law on the trail. He rode my big American Warmblood who wears Old Mac’s on the front feet and Gloves on the hind feet. The trail is steep and rocky but I don’t have to worry about his feet being tender or unsure with his boots on.
This is also my Mounted Patrol horse and he often wears his boots on the county trails patrolling as well as in parades. When we patrolled the County Fair it was so nice to know that his feet were not hurting on the sharp gravel in the parking lots or heated concrete. He loves his boots and steps out a little happier when he has them on!
