The EasyShoe Race is a hybrid nail-on/glue-on composite horseshoe with lightweight aluminum racing plates bonded to urethane. Aluminum and urethane are bonded together without any adhesives, eliminating extra weight and height.
With the word “race” in its name, you may think that it is designed for the racetrack alone. However, the EasyShoe Race excels in many performance disciplines, especially ones requiring traction and grip. The Race combines the lightweight benefits of aluminum with the caudal support of a composite horseshoe.
Many horse owners and farriers utilize traditional aluminum horseshoes because of its lightweight qualities. Horses are able to move out and feel their best, which is especially beneficial for competitions judged on confirmation and movement.
For example, the EasyShoe Race is helping this OTTB show jumper who needed some caudal support.
The EasyShoe Race is also excelling in barrel racing. Designed with traction in mind, the Race can tackle tight turns and bursts of speed required of many disciplines including barrel racing. Beth and her horse Soulie had a great run in the EasyShoe Race.
With the glue-on cuffs and 3D frog support, the EasyShoe Race is also helpful for horses with thin soles, sensitive hoof walls, and horses who cannot tolerate nails.
As you can see, there are many ways the Race can be utilized! Have you used the EasyShoe Race? Let us know what you think!
