My horse is transitioning from shod to barefoot and had low heels and long toes when I purchased him 9 months ago. He gets a proper barefoot trim every six weeks and is boarded and fed naturally. His hoof angles are still low, in the 47 – 49 degree range. I rasp the toe back every 2 – 3 weeks. His hooves are also very round, they measure 110 x 110 mm.

The length fit into the 00.5 and width into the 0.5, according to the size chart. The fit kit showed me the size zero would work best, but there were gaps along the top of the boot. I hoped the power strap would make using the Easyboot Glove possible for us. I had been using the Easyboot Back Country, but needed a lighter, more streamlined boot for NATRC.

This photo shows us after a 15 mile conditioning ride in 3 hours at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. The boots stayed on securely, without any rubs, without any material accumulating in the boot. Success, thanks to the power straps.

Thanks, EasyCare!
