PJ wore EasyShoe Versa Grips on all four hooves for Tevis 2022 for a 12th place finish.
Last year I had ridden my Tevis horse in a composite shoe made by a different company and was unsatisfied. At 68 miles, those shoes were wearing pretty significantly and I was unsure if it would have lasted the final 32 miles had I finished the race.
So this year, I still wanted something composite to help with the concussion but also have enough support. I trained PJ in the EasyShoe Versa Grip at home for a total of 10 weeks prior to Tevis, and he also wore them for a 3rd place finish at Yellow Hammer in May.
The picture of the shoe above is after the 100-mile race, plus prior training miles. The EasyShoe Versa Grip held up amazing! I couldn’t be happier! PJ felt awesome all day! No issues whatsoever! I could easily travel more miles in this shoe! Absolutely love EasyCare products!
Thanks for sharing this with us, Haley! Congratulations to you and PJ on a fantastic race!
