My gelding Pony is my main barrel horse. He is 17 years old and has been in traditional nail-on shoes his entire life prior to me owning him. He has never had strong hoof walls and has a large scar on his left front running from his coronary band down through his hoof wall that limits nail placement. We wanted a shoe that would offer the coverage and support he needs, plus have enough material we could grind extra breakover into, so we decided to try the EasyShoe Versa Grip Glue.
About a year and a half ago, we switched him into the Versa Grip Glue and his hoof walls have never been stronger!
At 17 years old, he’s still running at the top of the 1D and I credit a lot of that to how healthy and happy his feet are.
