Hello, my name is Gabe, and I’m the graphic designer here at EasyCare. I handle all of our visual marketing materials, including our website, catalog, brochures and packaging for our products. I’m also a photographer, so I take a lot of the photos we use as well.
Before starting at EasyCare in March of 2008, I had never heard of hoof boots and had not spent much time around horses. I was looking to continue growing my career as a graphic artist, and EasyCare seemed like a great place to work. After almost 2 years, I can say that EasyCare is the best job I’ve had. Thanks to Garrett Ford and EasyCare, I’ve had some amazing opportunities to really evolve as a designer and photographer, and have been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places to take photos for our catalog and website. The work environment has always been positive and upbeat, and we have some great people on our team.
One of the most interesting parts of the job has been learning about horses, their hooves and natural hoof care. I’ve gotten to know our products inside and out, I’ve been to endurance races, heard people’s stories and learned a lot about the anatomy of the horse’s hoof. After seeing all of this I can honestly say that I am 100% convinced that horses are much happier and healthier with barefoot hooves, that hoof boots are the way of the future. It feels great to work for a company whose products I believe in.
Stay tuned, because the natural hoof care movement is growing fast, and EasyCare is at the forefront!
Thanks for the compliment! I’ve taken all of our photos this year, but the majority of the great photographs we’ve used over the years were taken by Dan and Janine Patitucci: http://www.patitucciphoto.com. They are probably the best mountain sport photography team around today, and shoot photos for many big name companies, like The North Face, REI, National Geographic Adventure and many others. They are friends and I am constantly inspired by their amazing talent and vision.
I’m a big fan of your EasyCare photos, they’re awesome!
