The EasyShoe Race is an aluminum race plate with integrated 3D HoofCare frog support and cuffs for gluing. It offers a thinner profile and lightweight design, and is often seen in disciplines requiring more traction such as barrel racing, polo, and hunter/jumpers.
Additionally, as the name implies, it is often seen on the racetrack. It is an excellent shoe for horses who do well in a traditional shoe style but cannot tolerate nails.
The EasyShoe Race is offered in two varieties:
- Aluminum race plate (EasyShoe Race). This option provides more stability and support.
- Full urethane, no aluminum (EasyShoe Race Light). This option provides more flexibility and is the most lightweight option.

“These shoes have been fitting great and the horses seem to like them. I’ve got them on the hinds on three barrel racers, one retiree who loves the 3D frog support part of the shoe, a kid’s pony, and a Tennessee Walker/Missouri Fox Trotter cross who’s a trail horse out here in the mountains in western Colorado.
The barrel horse’s owner reports that their horses seem to have great traction when they’re going full speed, but not so much grip that the foot plants hard enough to cause a soft tissue injury.
The trail horse’s owner said her horse hasn’t slipped a single time, and trust me, the ground they’re covering is steep.
I like the stability the shoe offers and I like that it comes in both aluminum and solely composite. I’m exited to have another shoe to add to my inventory.”
