Are you interested in applying glue-on EasyShoes? If you apply one of the cuff style shoes such as the Versa Grip Glue, EasyShoe Speed, EasyShoe Race, EasyShoe Roller, or EasyShoe Performance, you will need to use either an acrylic or urethane adhesive.
EasyShoe Bond Glue is an acrylic adhesive that is often paired with these cuff style shoes. It dries in a natural, light color. Bond Glue is the most flexible adhesive, allowing the most hoof flexibility even after the glue is dry. Bond Glue will give with the hoof with each step, often improving shoe retention and giving the hoof maximum flexibility. Bond Glue sets up relatively slowly and works well in humid climates.
How many hooves can you glue with one bottle of Bond Glue? EasyCare HCP Daniel Meegan has an answer.
“If you are careful, you should be able to get at least 6 hooves. If you are careful and not wasteful, you can get 2 full sets (8 hooves) out of one tube.
The tube below is what is left over after gluing 2 full sets of EasyShoe Speeds and EasyShoe Rollers (8 hooves).
That comes out to $12.50 a foot worth of glue.
Be careful with how much glue you are using. Most likely you are using twice as much as needed.”
Bond Glue comes in two different options: Fast Set and Slow Set. At 70 degrees, Fast Set will set at 3-5 minutes. Slow set will set at 6-8 minutes. The hotter the glue, the faster it sets, likewise, the colder it is, the slower it sets. Typically, you would want to get Slow Set in the summer and Fast Set in the winter. If it’s really hot, we recommend keeping the glue in a cooler.
Please keep in mind, you will need a 420ml dispensing gun and mixing tips to apply Bond Glue. Bond can also be mixed in a disposable cup. Copper Sulfate can be added to help prevent bacteria growth.
