Does your horse need a wedge? We have several EasyShoe options that accommodate a wedge.
The following EasyShoe Lineups offer a wedge accessory that attaches with screws. Each shoe size has a corresponding wedge size for a perfect fit – no cutting required.
EasyShoe Versa Grip Wedge. 2.5 Degree Wedge accessory that attaches to the shoe with 3 included screws. This will work with all Versa Grip shoes including: the Versa Grip, Versa Grip Gold, Versa Grip Light, Versa Grip Glue, and Versa Grip Octo.
EasyShoe One Wedge. 2.5 Degree Wedge accessory that attaches to the shoe with 3 included screws. This will work with all EasyShoe One shoes including the One Nail, One Glue, One Sticky.
EasyShoe Race Wedge. 2.5 Degree Wedge accessory that attaches to the shoe with 3 included screws. This will work with the Race and Race Light.
EasyShoe Roller Wedge. 2.5 Degree Wedge accessory that attaches to the EasyShoe Roller with 3 included screws.
EasyShoe Adapter Wedge. 5 Degree Wedge that attaches to the bottom of the EasyShoe Adapter using 4 included t-nuts. Because it is on the bottom of the shoe, it can be applied, removed, or modified at any time during the trim cycle.
EasyShoe Mesh Pad. This pad can be added to any EasyShoe of your choice! Available in a flat, 0 degree option and a wedged, 3 degree option. The Mesh Pad is designed to hold DIM and packing material in place, but it also offers concussion dampening.
The Mesh Pad is offered in size M and L and can be cut to size.
EasyShoe Triple D. The shoe has an integrated 3 degree wedge in the midsole. No accessory needed!
Your decision may come down to a variety of factors: your horse’s hoof care needs, discipline, workload, and environment. Since many of our shoes offer a wedge attachment, you may start by picking the shoe that works best for your discipline and go from there. For therapy applications, you may lean more towards the Adapter or Triple D. We recommend working with your vet or farrier to help determine your horse’s specific needs.
