Meet Maggie

My name is Maggie and I am proud to introduce myself as EasyCare’s newest Customer Service Representative. I am an equine enthusiast as well as a knowledgeable, savvy, and educated horse owner that has a lifetime of experience. I am very excited to be working for EasyCare and look forward to assisting customers with booting questions and needs.

Throughout my entire life I have always been actively involved in the equine industry through work, horse ownership, competition, and college. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. For many years I have owned and shown American Quarter Horses in several different events including all-around and hunter jumpers.

After years of unexplained soundness issues with my eleven-year-old American Quarter Horse gelding “Skippy” (pictured below), I pulled his shoes in October of 2012. Skippy has been barefoot and booted ever since. He is sounder and healthier than ever, I have never looked back.

My decision to transition Skippy to barefoot did not come easily and along the way I have faced several challenges with soundness, booting, and trimming . Stay tuned to read about my journey through Skippy’s barefoot transition that I will be discussing in my future blogs.

As one of the customer service representatives, I am happy to help get your horse into the right boots. I am a strong believer in the benefits of barefoot and am currently transitioning my own horse.
