Talk about coincidences. I received an email from Maggy after helping her to size her horse, D, for the Easyboot Trail. “What would your recommendation be for D’s two year old Boa boots? He only wore them a few times.” I wasn’t sure what she meant by “recommendation” so I asked her to clarify: “Is there someone or some group who could use them? As a donation.”

That afternoon, I received an email from Sue Clauss. Sue runs a rescue, primarily for horses; however, she has helped birds, opossums, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, cats and, of course, dogs. “Last month, we acquired a 15-20 year old Quarter Horse mare. Sugar was half-starved all winter while she was in foal. She was also severely abused. We got her here just in time. She gifted us with a beautiful bright red filly! Mother and, yet-to-be named child, are doing well after a rocky start. Both have a long row to hoe.”

I emailed Sue asking her if she could use some protective hoof boots and, of course, she gratefully accepted. I immediately emailed Maggy and gave her Sue’s phone number. Thank you Maggy for your generosity!  And thank you, Sue, for all that you do for the animal community.

Do you have Easyboots that you are no longer using? Please think about giving them to your local rescue. If you don’t know of one, contact us and we can give you some suggestions.
