Steve, at Metcalfe Hay & Feed, got very involved in his community by hosting the Whidbey Farmers Tack Swap and Sale that was held on October 4th.
The Tack Swap had a total of fourteen tables (at no charge) and lots of activity. Steve held the Tack Swap to help others in the horse community to sell their used tack, but also to show customers what great products Metcalfe Hay & Feed offers, including EasyCare Hoof Boots.
They had a Tack Swap Raffle and below is the lady that won a pair of Old Mac G2’s. She looks pretty happy!
Steve even brought in a hot dog stand. Nothing like a good old-fashioned hot dog at a tack swap!
Steve believes that community involvement is an integral part of his yearly marketing strategy. He attends community rides regularly and even helps to establish and mark the trails.
