Easyboot Transitions for a Donkey in Distress

I have a beautiful, sweet and funny large standard donkey named Buddy. He has a long history of foot neglect before he came into my care, and both front hooves have longtime poor shape and hoof wall growth. With the help a a wonderful hoof care practitioner, Buddy has made big improvements in terms of hoof quality over the past 18 months, and we are thrilled that he is now able to wear the fabulous Easyboot Transition hoof boots.

We ordered the boots in November and he has worn them almost everyday since, on oddly warm days (cold muddy ground) or on terribly cold days (hard frozen ground) and in the rapidly changing weather of upstate New York. Now, his stride is longer, he is more surely-footed on our hilly wooded areas, and his movement around the pasture with his horse buddies has increased at a time of year when it usually decreases.

Although I wasn't at all confident about getting the right size, I followed the EasyCare measuring directions and got one size up to accommodate a set of extra thick comfort pads. He loves them! And since neither of us had any experience with boots it took a few days to get the boots on/boots off routine right. Now that we both have practice the on and off routine is a breeze.

I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful product, and for making my 21 year old donkey's future much brighter. He deserves all the comfort and care he needs to live the happy life of a Pasture Puff, and his boots are now an important part of keeping his damaged feet protected, safe and comfortable for many more years of romping and browsing in the hills.
