I have always had to ride other peoples horses since I was 5. My parents could not afford to buy me a pony so after 30 years of riding I was finally in the position to buy my own horse, a beautiful Quarter X Arab that I wanted to do endurance. He was beautiful but after 3 months of having him he fell ill.

We trained for our first endurance ride and then he was sick. We’d done this routine for over 2 years and then he was finally diagnosed with cancer. We never got to do endurance.

I am now the proud owner of a pure Arab ‘Arabiana Banama’. We trained for 6 months and after waiting 3 years, I finally got to my first endurance ride. When I crossed the finish line, I was yelling out to everybody “I did it” and “I’ve done it”, throwing my arms in the air! I think they thought I was mad, but they had no idea how special that moment was for me. This is my proudest photo: my first endurance ride, completing 40km in two Easyboot Bares. We now ‘Glove‘.
