EasyCare’s ongoing alliance with various events across the country continues in 2011 with this first opportunity to win a ride entry to the resurrection of this historic endurance event in Safford, Airzona. The last endurance events held in the area were the Safford Johnny Creek events held from 1994 – 1999, although the Springdale Romp event is held south of the former ride location.

About the Ride
Ray and Kathy Sansom are the ride managers for Springdale Romp, a six-day endurance event based out of the Graham County Fairgrounds on February 3-5 and 7-9, 2011. Distances offered will be 50 miles per day for both three-day events, with one of the days as a 55-mile event. A limited distance ride of 35 miles will be held each day for riders who want to get a taste of life out on a marked trail through the wilderness.

You may recognize Ray’s name as the 2006 and 2008 AERC National Mileage Champion. Ray accumulated more than 2,000 miles on Springdale Honey each of those years. Springdale Honey has accumulated more than 5,000 AERC competition miles.

An evening banquet meal will be provided for riders each evening just before awards are given for the daily ride. Three-day Pioneer awards will be given for those who ride the same horse all three days.

The Graham County Fairgrounds offer facilities not found at many other rides, including covered stalls, pens and RV hookups (extra charges may be incurred). Ray and Kathy are expecting from riders from Canada, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and California.

If you would like more information, please contact Kathy Sansom at 928-728-4573, or send her an email to ksansom@starband.net. Click here to see the Springdale Romp website.

I am responsible for the marketing and branding of the EasyCare product line. I believe there is a great deal to be gained from the strategy of using booted protection for horses, no matter what the job you have for your horse.
