Over the years, three other Parker sisters and one Parker brother have uniquely contributed their efforts to the ranch. The most recent event in the history of the ranch was the decision the family made to place it into a Conservation Easement with the local San Isabel Land Protection Trust. Because of this great accomplishment, the entire ranch is now forever protected from development.
In 1995 Elin started offering guests a chance to step into the boots of a real cowboy or cowgirl. With encouragement from her friends to make the big step she says, “It has been nothing but good and has caused me to slow down a bit and see the wonder and beauty of it all through the eyes of my guests.” She prides herself in providing her guests with a truly integrated experience on a real ranch; never making up something to do. It’s always the real deal.
Music Meadows Ranch is located 12 miles south of the two small towns of Westcliffe and Silver Cliff, CO. The community is busy year-round, hosting a Blue Grass and Western Festival, their award winning Stampede Rodeo and offering a variety of restaurants, shops and museums. Family members or friends that are not interested in the horse and cattle activities can always find something fun and interesting to do.
About The Ride
The Sangre Scenic Pioneer Ride takes place May 28 - 31, 2010 and it is one of more than 20 events across the country this year who have chosen to partner with EasyCare. That means there will; be some nice EasyCare completion awards if you make it to the right place at the right time. I've been told by those who have had the pleasure of riding there that it really is one of the most scenic rides in the country. I'll be sure to let you know my take on it.
New this year will be the local Wet Mountain Valley Bluegrass Band Entertainment. There will also be introductory Endurance benefit rides of 10-13 miles for those new to the sport or just for fun. These introductory rides will benefit the William Parker Music Fund at VALI Assisted Living, the local senior citizens home. Elin Rusher will feed everyone her fantastic gourmet ranch cooking.
Trailwise Tack will be on site starting Wednesday. They will have lots of inventory available for sale, including Easyboot Gloves and Easyboot Glue-Ons. And I'll be there having my own small gluing festival, so if you want help fitting boots or gluing on shells for the three-day, be sure to drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can set up an appointment for you.
One last thing: V Bar Ranch raises grass fed beef. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? I can't wait for dinner.
Director of Marketing
I am responsible for the marketing and branding of the EasyCare product line. I believe there is a great deal to be gained from the strategy of using booted protection for horses, no matter what the job you have for your equine partner.
