This is another event not to miss, put on by the dynamic duo of Cynthia Ariosta and Forrest Tancer. And thanks to our ongoing partnership with various endurance and CTR events across the country, we're proudly giving away two complimentary entries. You may remember last year's ride report from Leslie Spitzer.
Get your calendar now and mark Saturday and Sunday August 20 & 21, 2011. We're sending you to ride along the coast with views of the Pacific Ocean and through the towering Redwoods north of Fort Bragg, California.
You'll remember more than just the riding: there will be a wine tasting and Pot Luck on Friday night, hosted by Esterlina Vineyards. Bring your wine glass and have a chance to taste this wonderful winery's 2006 Alexander Valley Cabernet, the 2006 Cole Ranch Merlot, & the 2009 Cole Ranch Riesling. Larry and Valerie will be pouring for you on Friday, and will be volunteering at the event on Saturday and Sunday, so you'll have many chances to talk to them about the wine.
The best base camp on earth?
Friday night's Pot Luck dinner is an Iron Chef competition. Bring your best casserole and enter it in the contest to win prizes. Awards will be presented for first place, second lace and People's Choice. This event was very popular at the Cooley Ranch Rides. Our congratulations go to Eric Hought, whose Berry Casserole, made in a dutch oven, took the People's Choice award. Congratulations also to Bob Spoor, whose Corn Casserole came in a close second to Jennifer Neihaus's Summer Sausage Casserole, which won the coveted First Place - Iron Chef award.
Meals on Saturday and Sunday will be provided courtesy of Karina's Catering. Check out this menu:
Valencia Paella with chorizo, chicken, mussels and prawns
Bread from the Ft. Bragg Bakery
Chocolate Ganache Cake Squares
BBQ Flank Steak with horseradish mayo and roasted balsamic onion
Quinoa Vegetable Strudels
Ft. Bragg Bakery Bread
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Lunch will be provided for all riders and volunteers both days.

The views from base camp and the trails are incredible. You'll be hard pressed to find a more spectacular ride this year.
Win Your Own Entry
So if you'd like to win a two-day entry to the Mendocino Magic ride, send an email to marketing at easycareinc dot com and let us know why you should get an entry. And you don't even have to be a booted rider. Out of respect for the ride management, this offer is not open to anyone who has already sent in their entry for the event.
Keep up the bootlegging.
Director of Marketing
I am responsible for the marketing and branding of the EasyCare product line. I believe there is a great deal to be gained from the strategy of using booted protection for horses, no matter what the job you have for your equine partner.
